Food Drive For United Food Bank

With the upcoming holiday season, it’s always more difficult to keep food banks stocked. This year, between Farm Bill bickering in Congress and a peanut butter recall, food banks are hurting even more as money and food dwindle. We at TechPhx like it when everyone has food in their bellies, it makes for a happier community. This year we are combining our raffle prizes with a canned food drive for United Food Bank! Every canned food item you bring, you will get a raffle ticket! We are going to limit you to ten tickets, but there is no limit to how much food you can donate!

We’ll be collecting goods during the entire weekend so bring down what you can to help out those who can’t. On the most-needed list are things we all have to share:

Cereal/Oatmeal

Canned stews

Canned tuna or chicken, peanut butter

Beans

Canned Vegetables

Canned or dried milk

Canned tomato juice or sauces

Rice and pastaSo, what are these raffle prizes? We will have a list soon (Oh HEY! Here is THE LIST!). As a teaser, we can let you know some of them involve a certain basketball team in the Valley of the SUN, and another comes with 8 gigs of space! Even if you don’t win a prize, you’ll still be a winner for helping those less fortunate. There will be a collection box for monetary donations too.
